We all like a little treat from time to time, but keeping it healthy isn’t always easy. That’s why I experimented and came up with these tasty NAG Jell-O treats. An easy way to indulge your sweet tooth, plus some solid nutrition.
NAG (N-Acetyl-L-Glutamine) is the acetylated version of L-glutamine, which is the most abundant amino acid found in skeletal muscle tissue, so it’s crucial for anyone who trains. NAG is even more beneficial on low-calorie, low-carb diets, as this particular form of L-glutamine can be depleted at a faster rate than your body can re-synthesize it. NAG can also play a significant role in increasing muscle cell volume, glycogen storage, and growth hormone production while simultaneously supporting the immune system. The fact that it gives you fuller muscles is why I choose NAG during my contest prep.
SAN’s NAG is sugar-free and tastes amazing, but during contest prep, I just have the insatiable need to eat something sweet, so what’s better than good old-fashioned Jell-O? Especially when it’s Jell-O with NAG benefits. LOL! Even if you don’t get a good laugh at my joke, you can still enjoy my recipe below:
How to Make NAG Jell-O Treats
1 cup of boiling water
1 cup cold water
4 teaspoons of SAN’s Fruit Tart NAG
One pack sugar-free Jell- O
Add 1 cup of boiling water to the Jell-O mix and stir for two minutes until completely dissolved.
Stir in the cold water, then divide the mixture into four ½-cup servings, and add one teaspoon of SAN NAG into each cup – be sure to stir until completely mixed. Put all the cups into the fridge, and let them set for 30 to 90 minutes or until firm.
