I had a wonderful time in Minnesota performing my Black Swan routine at the NPC North Star event. Representing the bodybuilding and fitness communities is always such an honor for me, and it was such a wonderful audience in Burnsville, Minnesota. Christine Bongiovanni-Stiff and Team On Track were so hospitable which made it an even greater pleasure. Thanks to everyone who attended for all your love and support.
Having been so busy with guest appearances while also promoting two shows so close to each other, I felt I really deserved a little break, and a Hawaiian vacation is the just about the best way for me to unwind and recharge. Hawaii gives me such indescribable feelings, as it allows me to fully relax while being close to the ocean and giving me a chance to go surfing.
I practiced surfing every day while I was gone, and it made me want more and more time in the ocean. It’s a different kind of workout, and I really enjoyed it. As always, even though I was on a beautiful and relaxing Hawaiian vacation, I never missed any of my workouts, partially because they’re part of my recovery, but also because working out makes me feel alive, and eating well and staying healthy keep me disciplined.
Remember that when you see someone how looks extremely fit and healthy, don’t be jealous of them. It’s their lifestyle choices that have gotten them there, and if you really want the same, the option of putting in the work is always available. Just don’t make excuses.
You get what you’ve worked for in life, so if you truly want more, get out and work for it. Now that I’m back from my Hawaiian vacation, I’m full of energy and positivity again and ready to get back to work.
If you’ll be in Southern California at the end of October, I’m excited to see you at the FitExpo in San Diego during my seminar from October 27 through 29. Make sure to stop by, grab a picture, and ask any questions you may have about training, nutrition, and supplementation. I’ll be there looking forward to seeing you.
