I recently competed at the 2017 Phoenix Europa Games at the Phoenix Convention Center in Arizona, and I’m happy to announce…I won! This means I’m already qualified for the Ms. Fitness Olympia in 2018.
The show was put together and promoted by Betty and Ed Pariso who’ve promoted all the NPC and IFBB Europa Games Expo competitions throughout the U.S. The Phoenix Europa event is special to me because it’s where I made my IFBB pro fitness debut two years ago in 2015. I couldn’t be any happier with the outcome from the 2017 Europa Games. There was a large turnout of 18 girls who competed in this show, and there was great talent across the board.
I did all my own prep for this show, which was a big change for me. I changed the way I structured my time for training, routine practice, and cardio, and I had to take into consideration the number of calories I was consuming and what kinds of foods I ate as well as what supplements I chose to take. Having SAN Nutrition in my corner made me feel much more comfortable going into the show since the Ms. Fitness Olympia was just three weeks prior.
Going forward, I’ll be able to utilize what worked well for this show and alter things that didn’t work as well or add in some new things. Overall, I think I succeeded with making improvements in only three weeks, so I’m very proud of myself, and that’s coming from someone who’s always hard on herself. That alone is a big accomplishment for me.
Now that I qualified for the Ms. Fitness Olympia, I get to have some off-season time, so I get a true “growing” season. This is the ideal time for me to take advantage of some extra calories for muscle growth and to optimize my improvements.
I’ve started drinking one serving of RawFusion protein as a staple breakfast item since the show. It’s an excellent way to get my protein, greens, omega fatty acids, and probiotics in the early morning, as these are all essential nutrients to start my day with. Any flavor is a good choice, but I’m personally a chocolate fan.
