I hope you’re all doing great and living healthy, happy lives. With the Olympia getting closer, many of you asking if I’ll be competing in the 2018 Olympia. If you missed my stage announcements in 2017 at both the Arnold and the Olympia, no, I won’t be competing anymore. I’m still officially retired from competition; however, I will be promoting my OG Pole Fitness competition at the Olympia Expo for the first time, so I’ll still be there. I’m also preparing a little surprise for everyone there, so don’t miss it!
I’m very thankful to Olympia promoter Robin Chang, Olympia for giving us this incredible opportunity and believing in me. It’s going to be a very exciting and powerful competition, especially now that we’ve added a physique score for the pole fitness competitors.
We’ve invited 14 of the world’s best pole fitness athletes to compete. We’ll have a great international lineup with women coming in from South Korea, France, Russia, Ukraine, El Salvador, and Canada, as well as U.S.-based athletes who will also be competing.
It’s all happening on Friday, September 14 at 1:00 P.M. on the main stage at the Olympia Expo, so don’t miss it. I’d love to see you all, so stop by my OG Pole Fitness Booth (#1084) to say “hi.” We have so much to show you that you’ve never seen before, so you won’t be disappointed.
Why Stay in Shape?
I’m always surprised that so many people continue to ask why I’m in still in shape and why I keep working on developing more skills when I could just be at home eating junk and watching T.V. Guys, I didn’t retire because I couldn’t do it anymore, I retired because I could. I simply love to look fit, and I love the feeling of constantly improving my skills. Plus, it gives me the ability to share my knowledge with athletes and give performers advice to help them with choreography, so it’s incredibly rewarding.
I realize that when most athletes retire, they’re not motivated anymore because they’ve stopped setting new goals. That’s not the case with me… I constantly have new dreams and goals, and I always want to keep moving forward in my life.
If you’ll be at the Fit Expo in Anaheim on August 25-26, come by and see me. I’ll be doing a seminar with Jay Cutler, Danny Hester, Guy Cisternino, and Stan McQuay, all hosted by Shawn Ray. Come and ask anything you want to know about training, diet, and my SAN supplementation program. I’m always here for you!
Lastly, I’m so proud and thankful that I’ll be inducted into the Dumbbell Club Hall of Fame on August 26 at The FitExpo in Anaheim, along with the bodybuilding icons Samir Bannout, Jay Cutler, and Flex Wheeler. I have no words for how honored I feel.
